"Voluntary Simplicity" Course Begins Valentine's Day

Beginning Feb. 14, 2008, participate in an inspiring Northwest Earth Institute course, entitled "Voluntary Simplicity," according to a SustainableAsheville.com e-newsletter.

The course willl be held weekly from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at UU Church of Asheville, which is located at Charlotte Street and Edwin Place in north Asheville.

The seven-session course provides for stimulating discussion to help create meaningful community in the midst of today's everything-fast society.

The "Voluntary Simplicity" course book costs $20 and will be available at the first meeting on Feb. 14. 

Topics to be covered will include the following: (1) The meaning of simplicity (2) Living more with less (3) Your money or your life (4) Do you have the time? (5) How much is enough? (6) Swimming against the tide (7) The practice of simplicity.
