Sustainable Living and Green Building Resource for Western North Carolina :: NEWS :: REGIONAL - WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA :: SEE EXPO community center closes
SEE EXPO event and "Our Southern Community Center" closes in Hendersonville | On April 26, 2011, Ned Ryan Doyle and Ted Wilson held a grand opening at their new community center, located in the 7th Ave. Historic District of Hendersonville. On June 11, 2011, the center, designed to promote and educate those interested in a future of sustainable energy, cleaner environment and a greener economy in the South, closed. Unfortunately, while Doyle, Wilson and others built the field, not enough people showed up to play. In addition to the center closing, Doyle and Wilson also threw in the towel to their 10-year-old SEE EXPO; i.e., the Southern Energy and Environment Expo | OSC Grand opening event photos at JourneyAmerica.org: More> | OSC info and closing at OurSouthernCommunity.org: More> |
