Take a hike in an ancient, unlogged forest

Josh Kelly has been working with Southern Appalachian Forest Coalition (SAFC) to identify and document old growth, ancient forests in the southern region. He's a great hike leader, full of information.

In April, Josh took some folks on a hike along the Green Ridge Trail, Bald Mountain Roadless Area in Pisgah National Forest. Although strenuous, the hikers were rewarded with wild flowers, a small waterfall and an unlogged forest. They walked along the Green Ridge trail, up Dry Creek, to the summit of the ridge.
